Ayo Gutierrez is a Moderator in Motivational Strips, and based at our Philippines office. She handles and supports Philipino and Far Eastern writers through our ‘Member’s Parliament Committee’.
Ayo is the author and co-author of several poetry books including the titles, Evocare: A Collection of Tanka, Bards from the Far East: Anthology of Haiku and Kindred Verses, Chasing Zephyrs,Amalgam, Transcendence: An Anthology of Human Thought, In the Crosshairs,and A Promise of Doves. Her poetry has appeared in various international anthologies, ezines, and literary journals. Ayo’s debut poetry collection entitled Yearnings: A Collected Poetry has achieved the Amazon’s bestselling status in July 2020. The Foreword of the book was written by the multi-awarded FilipinoAmerican author, editor, poet, and publisher Eileen R. Tabios whom Ayo cherishes for working with her on numerous writing projects.
Ayo is also the co-author of another bestselling motivational book entitled Almost is the Same as Never: Second Edition.
True to the spirit of collaboration, Ayo has shared literary successes and citations with some of the leading Filipino writers and celebrities such Felix Fojas, Santiago Villafania, Cesar Ruiz Aquino, Albert Casuga, Jose Rizal Reyes, Doc Penpen Takipsilim, and Arienne Calingo- 1st Runner-up to Catriona Gray at Miss World Philippines 2016 . Ayo also had an exclusive interview with F. Sionil Jose, an awardee of the National Artist of the Philippines during her early foray in the industry. As a publisher, she has already published more than 100 local and international poets under GMGA Publishing.
Ayo’s love story episode in Maalaala Mo Kaya entitled “Destined to Love You” which starred McCoy De Leon and Maris Racal and directed by Barry Gonzales was a big hit on TV during its airing on May 2019. It trended on Twitter and is branded as one of MMK’s most-loved episodes of all time.
Aside from being a writer and publisher, Ayo is also a TV personality and professional speaker. She was the main host for One Media TV 44’s (formerly GNN TV 44) travel show called “Travel Art TV.” She featured Kapampangan artists such as Philip Dizon Torres of Pidayit Fashion, Titus del Rosario, Andy Alviz, etc. She also represented the City of Angeles Toastmasters club in Humorous and Table Topics speech contests in 2019.
Ayo Gutierrez is now regarded as the country’s #1 Book Coach for her formidable presence on social media and in her relentless efforts to help Filipino poets become published authors. Her international poetry anthology entitled Scents will also be published this year. Furthermore, she is now co-authoring several books which will all be released in 2020. Joining her in these projects are James Osorio Fantone- the first and only Filipino trainer certified by Michael Gerber, Armando “Butz” Bartolome– the franchising guru of the Philippines, and Doc Gigi Sunga- a famous YouTube business vlogger. She is also a sliver categorised privileged member in Motivational Strips.
